Destination profile

Blessed with a wonderful location where Lake Ontario meets the Niagara River (which runs along the U.S. border), Niagara-on-the-Lake is one of Canada’s loveliest towns.

Elegant Loyalist-era residences stand along the flower-lined streets; shops and restaurants showcase local products; and art galleries, small romantic hotels, and a host of bed-and-breakfasts make the town a charming and welcoming place to stay.

It’s easy to spend hours walking or cycling along the lake or river.

A culinary experience

The Niagara Peninsula in Southern Ontario has a microclimate suitable for growing grapes and stone fuits. Juicy peaches grow in abundance and inspired this roasted peaches, yogurt and granola recipe. A must-try summer breakfast!
